Milanosesto

Milanosesto: a green oasis near Milan

Milanosesto is the most ambitious urban redevelopment project in Italy, located in Sesto San Giovanni, in the former Ex-Falck industrial area. With a master plan signed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Renzo Piano, this innovative sustainable community is spread over more than 1 million square meters, including 700,000 square meters dedicated to greenery. Bizzi & Partners invested in this project with the goal of creating a city of the future, where nature, innovation and well-being meet.

Residential, hospitality and commercial spaces

Just few miles from the center of Milan, Milanosesto is positioned as one of the most modern and dynamic urban communities in Europe. Architect Renzo Piano’s design will include two types of residential buildings – high-rises with up to 30 floors, low-rises up to 11 floors – that will provide a total of 8,000 apartments. It will also host a multifunctional shopping center and over 1,000,000 square feet of retail, hospitality, and industrial spaces.

Sporting events and medical research center

The community will include schools and a new hospital and medical research center. Milanosesto will also host a world-class sports stadium, to be used for recreation purposes by members of the community, as well as for professional sports events. The area will offer extensive green space, including 10,000 trees and 10 miles of pedestrian walkways. A green oasis where residents and guests can enjoy a relaxing and rejuvenating experience in contact with nature, still being a few kilometers from the city center of Milan.

A green oasis in connection with the world

Milanosesto is a destination itself, but it also offers convenient access to Milan and other major European capitals. Situated within 45 minutes of three different international airports, this community is just one or two hours by plane to cities like Paris, Rome, Berlin, London, and Madrid. It also offers easy subway access to Milan and a direct connection to Milan’s central train station. Though residents will find everything they need – schools, retail offerings, and recreational areas – within Milanosesto. They will also be inherently connected to the surrounding metropolitan area and Europe as a whole.
